Hello and thank you for your interest in our Formula SAE parts and products!

If you are here we think you might find an answer to your requests in one of the following Frequently Asked Questions.
Please read carefully through all the listed details and in case you will not find your answer please don’t hesitate to contact us with a more specific question.

In case you need a Quote/Proforma to evaluate prices and shipping costs or a Quote/Proforma to be presented to your university Purchase Office, please add the products of your interest to your cart and proceed to “Checkout”, as for a regular order. Select “Request for Quote” as payment method, mark the flag on “I accept the terms and conditions” and now proceed with “Place order” .
You will redirected to a page with a green “Thank you. Your order have been received.” At the bottom of the page you’ll see a Black Button that says “Print Invoice” that will allow you to print a Proforma invoice that you can use as a Quote. The Order Total listed in the email is the total cost of your order.

Your order will be considered valid only when we will receive the official order from your University Department or a further email from you asking to pay for the order either with Paypal or Bank Transfer.
Lead Time will start when we will receive the official order from your University.
Extra costs may be applied at the arrival of the products to your country depending on your Customs Office fees (please don’t ask us how much that can be, it can vary a lot from country to country).

Every order has to be submitted through the Formula Seven website https://www.formula-seven.com/. Even in case your official order will be submitted from your University Department please place an order to be used as a quote and that will be referenced in your University order (Please see all the details of point 1).
If you are customer from the European Union you can only proceed to purchase if you provide a valid EU-VAT number (for companies in EU quotes indicate price without VAT as per intra-EU trading law). In case you don’t have an EU-VAT number and you are ordering from within EU you will have to put a flag on “European Private Customer” and you will be charged with the Italian VAT costs.

Lead Time for every product is 6-8 weeks as we produce on order, but we strive to quicken the lead time as much as we can!

We deliver all of our order with DHL courier. Delivery times for DHL can vary from 3-4 working days between central Europe countries up to a maximum of 25 working days depending on your shipping address. Please don’t ask us for more details about delivery times because it doesn’t depend on us. You will be able to track your parcel with the DHL tracking number provided at the moment of the delivery of your order.

As we are a 100% FSAE-based business, unfortunately we cannot offer discount on your cart total just because you represent your University because our main business is with University teams. In case you are a returning customer don’t hesitate to contact us for special offers.

We only sell standard components as listed in the datasheet tab of our products. Please don’t ask for custom lengths or sizes unless the datasheet is not clear about it.

All the available 3D STEP model of the components can be found in the Download tab of each product webpage.

The aim of the Standard Impact Attenuator is to save time and costs of a Dynamic Impact test therefore Dynamic tests specification should not be submitted for a Standard Impact Attenuator.

 

2021 FSAE Rules state:

F.8.7.3 When using the standard Impact Attenuator, the IAD Report must meet the following:

 a.Test data will not be submitted

 b.All other requirements of this section must be included.

 c.Photos of the actual attenuator must be included.

 d.Evidence that the Standard IA meets the design criteria provided in the Standard Impact Attenuator specification must be appended to the report. This may be a receipt or packing slip from the supplier.

If your order is issued directly form your University, ee have no problem with payments after the shipment of the products as far as the conditions of the payment are stated in the official order from your University Department.

We are afraid we cannot provide the lamination sequence for our carbon fiber tubes.

We can only sell DOW IMPAXX™ 700 as a Standard Impact Attenuator. We cannot provide any extra material.
