Formula SAE Standard Impact Attenuator FSAE-IA-12 as per Rule F.8.4.1 of the 2024 Formula SAE Rules
The attenuator does not include optional radii on edges or mounting holes. Mounting holes shown are for reference only – attachment is up to the team to determine.
Since the attenuator is made of more than one piece of foam, those pieces must be glued together using a structural adhesive that is compatible with the Impax foam to be selected by the team. Segments may not be stacked without glue.
